Active in the Craft of Body Arts since the turn of the century, ran began making body jewelry in 1999, piercing in 2002, and tattooing in 2009.
Their art "style” concentrates mostly on a bold, illustrative look that has its roots in the American Tradition of Tattooing, while pulling subliminal inspiration from Asian (primarily Japanese, Indian and Korean) Art & leaning heavily on both Eastern & Western Folk Art, along with ancient/occult iconography.
Joe began his journey in Body Arts by managing and piercing at various local tattoo shops, including the shop where he & ran first worked together.
His natural drive to do the best possible piercings, combined with his "hustle" didn't go unnoticed - when the time came where ran needed another piercer, Joe was the first choice.
He has an uncanny eye for what piercings/jewelry will tie a look together, and is always looking for any way we can give our clients the best possible experience.
Miah has been helping out in countless ways "behind the scenes" at BodMod Shop since *long* before day one.
Now we've decided to enlist his skills in customer service to help us keep things running smoothly.
We also welcome his background in media production and are really looking forward to seeing what new projects we can put together.
